New Delhi, October 16, 2018: The social sector is rapidly gaining prominence. In a significant move, former President & CEO, Essel Infra & Utilities has invested in and joined JanaJal, India’s leading water services company as Strategic Advisor to the Board. This development is a strong indicator of the contribution that this social enterprise is making towards shaping the economy and empowering citizens through the medium of safe water.

Vidya is a Graduate Mechanical Engineer with Distinction and certificate qualifications from Oxford University’s SAID Business School of Management and Indian Institute of Management, Ahmedabad in leadership. With over 35 years of varied experience in Water and power infrastructure businessand has handled significant leadership roles with various business majors including SUEZ, ESSEL INFRA, AQUALYNG, and KEC International Limited He has been on the boards of more than 20 companies in the infrastructure space including national and multinational companies. He brings extensive international experience with long stints in South East Asia and has to his credit several marquee water treatment plants globally.

His expertise spans the entire gamut of water business starting from building and managing mega water and waste water treatment plants to setting up water businesses across the rural and urban format in the water vending segment. “I am extremely impressed with the focus on delivering safe water to communities through high quality services that JanaJal has maintained during the past few years.
